Isn’t it too hot for a Husky in summer?
In the north, where sled dogs originally come from, it is often quite warm in the summer. Huskies have therefore adapted to large temperature differences. Their fur is not as thick in the summer as it is in the winter. Nevertheless, a sled dog feels in its element when it is really cold. When temperatures rise above 20 degrees in the summer, you should no longer work hard with a husky. An alternative is a walk or a hike. With a well-trained husky, you can also undertake challenging mountain tours, provided the owner is fit enough.
A husky therefore feels at home with us in the summer too, if it doesn't have to work so much.
