Day 2

Today we have to drive the 160 km long route from Storberg to Örnvik to get to our starting point. Örnvik is located at the northwest end of the Tjieggelvas Nature Reserve. Once there, we immediately start loading the sledges and harnessing the dogs to the sledges.

A short time later we start our 5-day mountain tour. The first stage takes us about 45 km along the Piteälven towards the northwest. Here it is still mostly flat and we can already see the beautiful mountain landscape. In the late afternoon we reach the first cabin camp, Miekak. Our sleeping cabin is already heated and after dinner we enjoy the cozy sauna.
