Questions and answers
Is it not too hot to a husky in summer with us?
The northern dogs adapt themselves to the hot temperatures, and have in summer also a thinner fur. If the temperature is higher than 15 degrees Celsius, one should not train with a sledge dog any more. Like all dogs, a sledge dog also sweats only in the paws and his body temperature equalises by panting. Also in Alaska where the huskies come originally it is often very warm in summer. A husky feels also in summer probably with us, however, may not work (how we people also) so much if it is hot.
